Make a NO WIN NO FEE claim with PDA Law

Military Compensation Solicitors FAQs

Can I switch my case to PDA Law if I’ve already started with a different solicitor?

Yes, you can. If you decide to move your case to us, simply provide the details of your current solicitor, and we’ll handle the transfer process for you efficiently and seamlessly.

What does no win, no fee mean? Is there any financial risk involved?

No win, no fee means you don’t pay us anything if your claim isn’t successful—there’s no financial risk on your part. However, due to changes in the law introduced in 2013, you will be expected to pay a capped success fee of up to 25% of your compensation if your claim succeeds. Rest assured, if your case is unsuccessful, you won’t owe us anything.

Will I need to undergo a medical examination for my claim?

Not all claims require a medical assessment. In some cases, we can evaluate your situation using your medical records and a detailed consultation. However, for most claims, a medical examination is essential to accurately calculate the compensation you’re entitled to.

Who pays for medical reports and other associated costs?

We take care of all the upfront costs for your claim, including fees for medical reports and any other necessary expenses. PDA Law funds your case from the beginning, and we only recover costs if your claim is successful.

Will my claim have to go to court?

Although we strive to resolve cases without court involvement, there is always a small chance that your claim could go to court. However, the vast majority of cases are settled before this step is needed.

Is there a time limit to start a claim?

Yes, personal injury claims are subject to strict time limits. Acting quickly is essential, as delays could result in losing your right to claim. In some cases, courts may allow extensions, but it’s always best to seek legal advice as soon as possible.

How much compensation could I receive?

The amount you can claim varies depending on factors like the severity of your injuries, the impact on your earnings, the cost of ongoing care, and your recovery time. We’ll provide a clearer estimate as soon as we’ve gathered sufficient details about your case.

What about dealing with all the paperwork?

We aim to make the process as straightforward as possible. While there will be some forms to fill out, we’re here to guide you every step of the way. If needed, we can arrange for a trained agent to visit your home and assist you with completing the paperwork, usually within an hour. Ordinarily the initial sign up takes no more than 45 to 60 minutes.
